I understand the difference, but have seen the Nike Alvord advertised on many sites that sell hiking gear. Has anyone tried these? I have a problem with one foot/ankle that swells alot and was thinking this may be easier on me than the standard hiking shoe. The hiking shoe I was looking at was the Merrell Siren. I’ll be in Sedona, Arizona doing a few 3 hour hikes in the red rocks. Nothing extreme – all trails.
