Is It Dangerous To Use An Old Propane Canister?

4

I have a full canister and a half of one that I found in a closet with my old hiking gear. They are about 10 years old. (These are the small canisters used for camping and cooking). Are they still safe to use?

Shake them to see if there is anything in them. If so and they are not rusty all over I would feel very safe using them.
    Go for it.

Still safe. May not have much propane left in them, but you can use them.

Yes, it is still safe. Don’t worry too much about it, you’ll be ok.

If in good repair and not corroded they should be fine.
