Backpacking Light offers a subscription print magazine, free website and members only website content including hundreds of detailed reviews of all the latest backpacking products that could in any way be termed lightweight without all the hype and advertising of their rivals. You can even become a reviewer and gear tester with a few requirements. There's plenty here for free even if you don't buy, including a message boards full of experts. They also sell difficult to find gear. http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/…

I'm currently subscribed to Backpacker, and also Adventure. These magazines aren't always full of product reviews and so forth, but in every addition they usually review some sort of backpacking/hiking equipment. They also have tips for all levels of hikers, and great locations you may some day want to visit. These two are interesting magazines that deal with the great out doors, though they might not be what your looking for if you're only wanting pure product reviews.
