Park at the wayside rest on Highway 61 just west of the SR River bridge and take the trail from the parking lot up the west side or the river gorge. About two miles upstream the Superior Hiking Trail crosses the river on a footbridge and then hike back down the east side of the river. There are also some great trails through the state park along Lake Superior and to Corundum Point.
