What Is The Best Hiking Trails Is Victoria/vancouver Island?

2

I will be there in June for 4 days in Victoria and want to see some old growth forests, waterfalls, maybe even a hot spring. Any local favorites. I only have a couple days and have to spend the night in Victoria, but want to get out during the day.

Below is a link to Coombs BC which is a really neat little stop right near the Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park. It is about 2 hours north of Victoria. Give yourself 3hours each way though that is more than enough time.. Pretty good falls there and the bonus of Coombs is worth the trip.
For old growth forest continue on to Cathedral Grove. Only another few miles west of Coombs.A very famous stand of Old Growth Fir.
Excellent day trip for what you are looking for right there!
OH and the trail into the Little Qualicum Falls is only a few hundred yards.

If you head north about 2 hours there are some wonderful parks I’ve been to. The one that stands out to me is Englishman River. It has trails with fences, but there are opportunities to get off the beaten path at some points.
EDIT: I don’t recall. My parents have a vacation home In Qualicum Beach, which is very close to the park, and I haven’t been in 4 years. I’m sure you’ve found this link:http://www.vancouverislandaccommodations…
    It really is beautiful.
