I’m going to hike the 22-mile (35½ kilometre) Mourne Wall next week. It has been described as “one of the greatest mountain walks in Ireland”, but is a tough mountainous walk with some very steep and rocky slopes, along with some wet and boggy patches.
I already have (I think) everything I need, but just in [...]

If you went on say a 7 mile round trip day hike in the winter. How heavy of a pack would you carry? would you take a bivy bag or even a sleeping bag? Tarp? I know about the so-called 10 essentials and I always take extra clothing and a sit pad.

i want to really ruff it i want to scale terrain, hike long distances fish and set up camp.

We are heading out soon with a large group, and I was hoping to hunt for some bargains on camping misc in the next couple of weeks. Not so much for hiking, but more for cooking, games, kids (all ages) etc. Thanks!

I would like a checklist to see what I would need to go on this adventure.
